Chicava HoneyChild is a burlesque danseur, actor and producer. She is the Creative Producer of NYC’s famous Brown Girls Burlesque Troupe. She received her MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from Goddard College her areas of interest being performance art, women of color in burlesque heritage, and sacred sexuality and spirituality. She is working on a documentary on the legacy of Women of Color in burlesque. People of all hues are welcome in her Brown Girl Burlesque workshops - after all, we all have a little brown sugar inside waiting to pour forth.

Naimah, winner of Bellydance Nationals Alternative Fusion Soloist Champion and the People’s Choice award, is also the director of the 2010 Bellydance Nationals Alternative Fusion Troupe Champions, “Amandari”. She has found her niche in the art of Modern Tribal style bellydance and is known for her mysterious, gothic infused, fluid movements. Her moves have been compared to that of a “man eating plant” and a “mechanical snake”.
